Subscription Link Security: Set Up a Client Without Exposing Your Access

The short answer

Treat a subscription URL as a private access credential. Retrieve it from your account and import it directly into the intended client on a device you control. Do not post it in chats, public documents or support screenshots. If you think it has been exposed, contact support through the website to determine the next step; do not assume that deleting a chat message revokes the link.

Keep the setup path short

Install your chosen client, then sign in to the account center on that device. If an import shortcut is available for that client, use it and check that the client received the configuration. For manual import, copy the current URL directly into the client's subscription field. See the import guide for setup order.

Avoid using a public document or a shared clipboard as an intermediate step. Before sharing a screenshot, check the address bar, QR codes and configuration fields as well as the main error message: a private value may appear outside the part you intended to show.

When an old link stops working

A saved URL can become stale after a credential change. Compare it privately with the current account information. Do not guess missing characters or repeatedly refresh an old address. If the account information and client result disagree, preserve the error and ask for help.

A changed URL and a renewed service period are different facts. Neither a copied link nor a successful client import alone proves the current service entitlement. Check the account record separately.

Ask for help without sharing credentials

Start with the client name and version, operating system, approximate time and the exact error. Redact private fields in screenshots. The Help & Guides page provides troubleshooting guidance, and its Submit Feedback entry provides an on-site support route. This is a route for asking for help, not a promise of a particular response time.

If the credential may have leaked, explain where it was exposed without pasting it again. Ask what account-side action is appropriate. Do not send passwords, payment verification codes or an unredacted subscription URL.

FAQ

Does deleting a shared message make the link safe again?

It does not establish that no copy remains. Stop redistributing it and use the support route to determine the appropriate action.

Is a subscription URL the same as my account password?

They serve different purposes, but both are private. Protect the URL even if your password was never exposed.

Can I rely on a link saved months ago?

Use current account information when configuring a device, especially after a link change or a long period without using the service.
