Why TikTok region detection is not only about IP
TikTok may consider network, SIM, device, account, language, location, and behavior signals, so the node is only one factor.
Apps like TikTok usually do not rely on a single IP rule. Besides network exit, they may consider SIM, device region, system language, app-store region, account profile, location permission, cookies, historical sign-ins, and content interactions.
Check in this order
- Confirm that the current node and mode are actually active.
- Turn off unnecessary location permission and restart the app.
- Check system region, language, and app-store region.
- If needed, test in a clean browser environment or after clearing cache.
Even with the right network direction, the third-party platform may apply its own controls. SSRocket does not promise that a third-party account or feed will switch to a specific region.
